A workshop, a guide, a meal: we write about the parts of travel that take judgement, experience, knowledge and taste.

A workshop, a guide, a meal: we introduce you to a place through

the people who make things .

Watch a magazine get built, one maker at a time.

Every other week, I'll share details on who I'm interviewing, what surprised me, and where the first issue is going.

Green hills in Ireland

DUBLIN, IRELAND · MAKERS

If you want to learn this instrument, you better get in line.

Uilleann pipers in Ireland spend 10 years on a waiting list just to get a brand new set. The sound is worth the wait.

Santorini coastline

SANTORINI, GREECE · PLACES

The island everyone photographs, and the craftspeople nobody hears about.

There's more to Santorini than the white-washed walls and pretty sunsets, if you know where to look.

FROM THE EDITOR

Hi, I’m Ren, the editor of CRAFT.

I'm building this magazine because one of the best ways to experience a new place is through its people. Have a conversation with a chef, a farmer, a craftsperson, and you'll be introduced to a side of the country you could never find on your own.

Travel is an investment in adventure and personal expansion. It's an opportunity to grow, learn and connect with people and I feel most fulfilled when I walk away from the experience knowing that my life collided with someone else's. A person on the other side of the world I would never have known and can now call a friend.

If this resonates with you, thank you for being here this early. Whether you are a partner, a writer, or a reader who travels this way, I'd love to hear from you.
