Skin cleaning is recommended once a month to help the epidermis regenerate. Attacked from all sides on a daily basis, our skin needs special care to help it regenerate and stay beautiful longer. This type of treatment is offered in all beauty salons but is not suitable for all budgets because they are often quite expensive.
We suggest that you carry out, from your home, step by step, a skin cleansing worthy of beauty salons.
1. Steam bath :
In order for the skin to benefit as much as possible from this care,it must first be properly cleaned. Your face should, therefore, be completely free of makeup.
To begin, you will make a steam bath which will allow the pores to open in order to better receive the treatments to come. To do this, boil the equivalent of a bowl of water.
Then, place the bowl on a table and sit comfortably with your face over the steaming bowl.
Be careful not to be too close to the water so as not to burn your skin.
Then, place a cloth over your head which also covers the bowl so that the steam cannot escape.
Stay that way for ten minutes. If you wish, you can add a few drops of essential oil to the water to flavor the treatment with the aroma of your choice. When the steam bath is finished, gently pat the face with a terry towel.
2. Remove skin spots :
Once your skin has been detoxified, you can proceed to the blackhead (spots) extraction step! Take 2 tissues and surround your 2 index fingers with them. Gently press the black point to make it come out.
The steam bath has opened the pores and the spots will come out effortlessly. Thanks to the essential oil of lemon which is antiseptic, you avoid the risks of infection. No risk of big red buttons afterwards. Take advantage of the opening of the skin pores and their purification to go to the next step and make a scrub. It will thus penetrate more easily.
3. Scrubbing :
For a clean skin, there is nothing like a light homemade scrub based on olive oil and sugar. Mix the two ingredients in equal doses in a container and massage your face with light rotations. Start with the chin and work your way up to the forehead, emphasizing the middle area: chin, nose wings and forehead. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry the face by patting with a terry towel.
To avoid irritating your skin, do not rub too long or too hard. Emphasize the forehead, the wings of the nose and the chin, but avoid the eye area. Finally, rinse your face with lukewarm water.
4. Mask :
Choose a mask that matches your skin’s needs: purifying, hydrating, restoring… there are many. If you wish, you can even combine them. For example, apply a restorative mask around your eyes, a purifying mask on the T-zone and a hydrating mask on the rest of the face.
You just have to let it act for ten minutes. Now is the time to sit back, close your eyes, and breathe deeply. Once the time has elapsed, remove it gently, so as not to irritate the skin.
Do not make more than one mask and a scrub per week, it would be too irritating for your skin.
5. Hydration :
Always end your skin cleansing with a new pass to lotion to remove any traces of products and lime. Finally, apply a moisturizing care cream to soothe any redness and prevent the skin from secreting more sebum than necessary.
This beauty ritual is also a moment of relaxation. So take the opportunity to relax, listen to soft music and think only of yourself.
