Mildew is very harmful for health, therefore it has to be eliminated. Mildew feeds from humidity and we generally find in bathrooms, kitchen or the attic. To get rid of it follow the following tips.

1. White vinegar for walls

If you want to get rid of mildew that had been accumulating on your walls, it is time to use white vinegar. Dilute 300 ml in 200 ml of water and spray the mix on mildew. Leave it to sit on walls for hours, then, clean with a towel. If mildew is still persistent, renew the operation.

2. Tooth paste and baking powder for

Tooth paste and baking power are your shielding friends against mildew. If you have some mildewed old towels or clothes, you can use a mixture of baking powder and tooth paste on a tooth brush and brush it on the towel or clothes.

3. Baking powder for joints

Mildew on tile joints is not pretty to watch. It is a persistent kind of mildew because bathrooms are always humid. To eliminate mildew on tail joints, use one cup of vinegar with two tablespoons of baking powder. Leave it for 2 minutes then rinse.

Add some drops of tea tree and lavender essential oil to equal quantities of vinegar and water. Tea tree and vinegar will get rid of mildew.

7. Grapefruit seed extract

It is another great aliment to use against mildew. Add some drops of grapefruit seed extract to some water and vaporize it on mildew.

Be careful to use this mixture on silicone joints only, for it can leave yellow stains on your tile.

To prevent mildew you need to keep the bathroom ventilated during winter and summer.
